Computational Core

The Center for Computational Innovations (CCI) is a world-class hub of computation and data-related research, innovation, and education.

A central feature of the CCI is the Artificial Intelligence Multiprocessing Optimized System (AiMOS), an eight petaflop IBM POWER9-equipped supercomputer configured to enable users to explore new AI applications.

Arts, Sciences, and Technology Core

Both a performing arts center and research and production facility, The Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) provides an environment that supports the realization of complex artworks and research projects at any stage, from inception to completion.

The Cognitive and Immersive Systems Laboratory (CISL @ EMPAC), a joint initiative with IBM founded in 2015, uses these same spaces and technologies to research new human-computer interfaces.
