Funding Opportunities

The Rensselaer research enterprise comprises $104 million in annual research expenditures and supports a diverse range of research centers and platforms.  The Institute relies strongly on federal agencies, private foundations, and corporations to support its research efforts.

Once a funding source is identified, all proposals must be reviewed by the Office of Research Administration and Finance (RAF) or Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR)  to ensure compliance with both internal and external requirements.  RAF can assist with proposal submissions, grants, contracts, subawards, agreements, and compliance with sponsored projects regulations and requirements. CFR can coordinate proposal submissions, as well as supply waivers, tax exemption status information, and financial statements, etc., as needed.

The Office for Research works with faculty and researchers to obtain research and educational program funding. We will work with you to identify opportunities and to prepare your proposal. We provide multidisciplinary grant proposal development, serve as a point of contact for faculty seeking advice and guidelines on grant proposal-related policies, and connect the Rensselaer research community to up-to-date funding opportunities.
